Has the ability to take this out. BERTIE (1) is ready to win after he just missed last time, beaten a nose into second over 6¾f at Newcastle. Will need a good ride from off the awkward draw. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. SAN GAVINO (11) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Muswellbrook over 6f87yards, beaten 2.75 lengths.
