MELEYS (12) was rewarded with her maiden success last start, scoring by half a length over 1m at Werribee. Looks well placed and she is a key runner. KNEE DEEP (6) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3 lengths into seventh over 7f at Pakenham. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. SHAMEX (14) was fresh from a break of eight months last start when beaten half a length into second over 7f at Horsham after she was up on the pace all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Can win this without surprising. KINGS REFLECTION (2) hasn't raced since a win at Warrnambool over 1m1/2f a month ago. Kept ticking over with a recent trial at Hamilton. Has found a suitable race here and is an each-way hope.
