LONE FORCE (9) finished fourth over 7f at Gold Coast at his most recent appearance on August 30. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Has found the right race. ECHO HUNTER (14) is coming off a determined win last start over 6¾f at Ipswich five-and-a-half weeks ago. Gets some weight relief this time so she is expected to measure up again. ROYAL GLADIATOR (18) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 7f at Rockhampton, beaten 4 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Facing a tougher assignment but he is worth serious consideration. AMBASSADORS (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Gold Coast, beaten 2. 25 lengths into fourth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
