ECLAIR AWESOME (6) is back after a break of six-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 6f at Nowra. Now under the care of new trainer Jack Bruce. Comes here with definite claims. DON PEDRO (1) finished 1. 3 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 7f at this track, an improvement on his sixth at Eagle Farm the run before. Faces an easier assignment so he is sure to be prominent. ITALIAN RIVIERA (2) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 7f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Nicely placed to maintain the form.
