MEHRETU (10) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Was again denied last start when she found one better over 6f at Doomben. This is a nice drop in grade so she is perfectly placed to score. BUNDELLA (6) returns from a break of five months. Genuine performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a fifth over 5½f at Ipswich. Finds the right race to launch another bright campaign. TAKE A BOW (12) was not disgraced in city class last time when fourth at Eagle Farm and goes well here. Won't find this assignment as tough. Capable of testing this field. JACKA STANDS ALONE (4) is a progressive four-year-old gelding who resumes from a break of three-and-a-half months, his last appearance being a win over 6f at Rockhampton. Fitter for a recent trial win. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Should be poised just off the lead. Can feature in the finish.
