Has a solid record at this course and distance, including four wins. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. MEAN APPROACH (5) comes here off a break of three-and-a-half months. Scored over 6f at Toowoomba at the start of last prep. Can make his presence felt. DEFIANT SPIRIT (7) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 4. 5 lengths away in ninth over 6f at Doomben. Well placed to bounce back.
