DOUBLE WHAMMY (5) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1m1f at this track, scoring by a long neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Jag Guthmann-Chester was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. DARK GLEAM (2) won when resuming then raced in town and was less effective, finishing eighth over 6¾f at Doomben. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. MR O'REILLY (1) returned from a break of five months with a solid fourth last start at Doomben over 6¾f. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. One of the main contenders. GISELLE ABEEL (9) won on debut last time out two-and-a-half weeks ago over 6¾f at Ipswich, getting home by half a length. Everything points to a big run.
