DEMON AWARD (11) has been knocking on the door with a couple of recent placings, the latest when second at Ipswich, and gets some weight relief. Record at this journey is impressive with two wins and two placings from five runs and is expected to be in the finish. LOST IN TRANSIT (3) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by a nose over 6½f at Rockhampton. That continued the good form this campaign, with three wins and three minor placings from eight starts. Can measure up again. TONNEOFGRIT (9) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 6¾f at Ipswich after he got a long way back. Has further improvement to come and is among the leading chances. ITZA CHARMDEEL (13) is a four-year-old import having his first run for the Matthew Dunn stable. Back from a break after finishing eighth over 1m at Te Rapa at his last appearance nine months ago. Ran fifth in a trial at Gold Coast over 5f and he must be respected.
