ENHANCE (4) just missed last time when a nose away in second at Sunshine Coast Poly over 5½f. Great chance to score. PRIVATE EQUITY (11) finished out of the money but was not too far away when resuming last start over 6f at Ipswich. Expected to feature in the finish. EARN TO BURN (9) showed early speed from an outside draw last time and led for much of the way before weakening to finish tenth, beaten 6 lengths, over 6f in the G2 Champagne Classic at Doomben. Significant class drop this time. Well placed and is one of the main contenders. FRENCH EMPIRE (5) resumes from a lay-off of four months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 7¾f at Murwillumbah. Tuned up with a seventh in a recent trial at Doomben. Has ability and is worth including.
