LOOSE UNIT (6) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 1m at this track. Has a win and five minor placings from seven starts at this track and distance. Leading contender. WEST CORK (10) was sent out favourite last time when second over 6½f at Toowoomba after he was handy all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. One of the better hopes. SHAMUKA (8) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start after being in contention on the corner over 1m at this track, beaten 1.4 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. LANGLANDS (5) has not raced since he scored on debut over 7f at Chinchilla on March 18. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Solid top-three hope.
