MELEK (1) impressed when successful on debut over 1m at Caulfield Heath nine months ago and has not appeared since. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. SHANONI (10) finished 6 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6½f at Bendigo when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in journey. Goes well at this trip, recording three minor placings and is right in this. HOTEI SENSHI (2) finished 4 lengths away in seventh last time out over 7f at Caulfield a month ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Will find this easier. Well placed and is one of the contenders. MISS TRUSTFUL (8) didn't do a bad job when fifth last start over 1m1/2f at Geelong. That followed a win at Geelong the start prior. Well placed and can make amends.
