CHARCOALS (1) turned in a fine effort to score by 1.3 lengths at this course and distance when when resuming from a lay-off last start. Likely to be there at the finish again. SPICY MARGS (7) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at Pakenham, finishing second and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 5f after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. KRYSANOVA (3) was last at the races when she finished sixth over 4¾f at Moonee Valley on December 6. Has recorded two wins when when resuming from a break. Worth plenty of thought. ROYAL LASS (8) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 5f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks to be in the right race so another bold effort is on the cards.
