EXCELINDEED (3) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 6¼f at Canterbury. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Wyong over 6f. Rates on top and is a great chance to break through. MARKDEL (8) is a consistent maiden back after a break of four months. Finished last campaign with a third at this track and looks set for a strong return based on recent trial form. The blinkers go on and is right in this. BRUTALRULE (2) was 9 lengths from the winner in fourth over 6f at Pakenham last time following a minor placing on debut the run before. Strong chance this time. GALATH (4) is a two-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 3.5 lengths when sixth over 5½f at Kilmore. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
