TRUCE (6) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 5f at this track two weeks ago. Looks promising and can measure up again. ATHENA'S TREASURE (5) closed last prep ten months ago when she finished seventh over 6f at Beaumont (Newcastle). Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Among the leading chances. LILY BOBTAIL (7) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest at this track over 4½f. Has managed three minor placings from four runs at this circuit. Likely to play a role in the finish. LA NARRADORA (4) is a four-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Stirling Osland barn. Finished off last campaign with a fifth at Ballarat Synthetic four months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks nicely placed. Shapes as a top-three chance.
