INIESTA (10) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when sixth at Randwick Kensington over 5¾f, beaten 8 lengths. Watch for a much better performance this time. THE WARRIOR (5) hasn't been far away lately including a last-start fourth over 4½f at Newcastle. Over the longer journey he looks tough to beat. DISPARATE (7) showed good early speed last start on debut but felt the pinch late and finished fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Expected to feature with improvement to come. MINERAL RESOURCES (12) returns after six months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 6f at Ballarat. Ran sixth in a recent trial at Randwick. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
