ELITE PETE (8) returns after five-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a ninth over 6f at Bairnsdale. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Moe. Well placed and happy to have him on top. TANANA (5) is a six-start maiden who could only manage to finish fourth at her latest appearance over 6f at Yarra Valley. Rates highly in this field and can turn things around. MONNIE (10) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 4 lengths into ninth over 6f at Canberra. This looks a sterner test than last time but with added fitness she is good enough to take this out. CHILLERO (2) wasn't beaten far over 5f at this track on debut last start and may appreciate the longer journey. Winning claims.
