A competitive handicap hurdle. Slender preference goes the way of ABSOLUTELY DOYEN (9) who managed to take his record for Paul Nicholls to three from three gaining a smooth handicap debut success at Ascot recently. Appreciated the step up in trip and slower conditions when scoring last time out. Might have enough to defy being raised 9lb. KIKIJO (6) won nicely over 3m a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham recently and could go well under suitable conditions once more. The talented SUPREMELY WEST (1) only managed fifth in that Cheltenham handicap. Would hold major claims on his previous third over the same course and distance. CHASING FIRE (2) is tough to rule out.
