MONTEPULCIANO (5) finds it hard to win with five victories from 54 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when eighth over 1m2 1/2f at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. LANDGRAVE (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 2.2.5 lengths away in fifth over 1m7f at Sandown-Hillside. Likely improver with strong prospects. FERAGO (2) was beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth in a 1m4 1/2f contest at Moonee Valley last time out. Worth noting Jamie Mott goes aboard. Well placed to bounce back.
