SUN GIFT (12) resumed three weeks ago over 1m1f at Sandown-Hillside and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. FAGIN (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2f at Ballarat, beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth after being in the firing line on the turn. Steps up a level but he is worth another chance. LAVALIER (14) finished sixth last start over 1m at Sandown-Hillside after racing on the pace for much of the way. Solid top-three prospects.
