GRACIAS AMIGO (3) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish sixth over 1m1f at Sandown-Hillside. Will prove hard to hold out. Group 3 placegetter WHAKAMANA (6) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at Moonee Valley over 1m2 1/4f. Nicely placed to turn things around. MICKIO (16) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m at Pakenham. Untried at this journey but strips fitter and looks the main danger. AMPHACTOR (14) was prominent at the bend and finished second last start over 1m1f at Caulfield Heath, beaten a nose. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing.
