MASTER OF CHANT (5) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Bairnsdale with success over 6f at this track nine days ago, getting home by one length after being in the firing line on the corner. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat again. HIGHLAND HARLEY (1) is back at the races for the first time since November 15. Scored over 6f at Warracknabeal at the start of last prep. Sure to make his presence felt. JESSUP (2) finished third over 6f at Mornington at his most recent appearance on December 11. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from four tries. Definite top-three chance. MCLOVIN (4) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6f at Ballarat, scoring by half a length. Re-unites with Zac Spain who was on board last start. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated.
