NO NEW TRICKS (8) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start when he worked home well over 7f at Cranbourne. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. SUNSET BEAUTY (7) registered a strong win at Kyneton two runs ago. Decent effort last time out when in the firing line on the turn before finishing second over 7f at Pakenham, beaten 2.5 lengths. Won't find this as tough so she is a major player. REAL SENSATION (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when he worked home well but found a couple better over 7f25yards at this track, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out. NEARING LIBERTY (2) is back from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 7f at Bendigo. Ran fifth in a trial at Cranbourne over 6f recently. One of the genuine hopes in the race.
