WINNING EMOTIONS (16) finished third as favourite last time out over 5½f at Goulburn, making it two minor placings from three starts this time in work. Drawn much better this time so expected to go close. ROSE AYE (11) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished one length away in fourth last time out over 6f at Randwick. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. HIGHWAY STRIP (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then got a long way back last start when 4 lengths away in ninth over 6f at Randwick. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. MANWARI (17) ran a better race last start, finishing 2 lengths away in fourth over 5½f at Goulburn. Nicely placed to find some form.
