This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. EMBRACE THE WIND (9) is a last-start winner over the shorter trip of 6½f at Newcastle, getting home by a nose. Down in the weights this time so he is worth following up. Lay-off last start when second over 1m at Randwick, beaten 1. 75 lengths. ICEMAN (3) resumed last start over 6¾f at this track and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish second, beaten 1. 3 lengths. Will spot them a start but watch for him late.
