MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE (1) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.9 lengths adrift in second over 5½f at Canterbury when coming back from a lay-off. Has a decent record at this trip with three minor placings from four tries and should be in the finish. THEBLADE (6) met with strong support when he resumed six-and-a-half weeks ago over 6f at Doomben and was only beaten 2 lengths into fourth. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. GOLDEN STRAAND (8) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 5½f at Canterbury. Warrants plenty of respect. BARTOLF (2) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by a nose over 6f at Gosford. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
