SARRISMO (7) went fast early and went on to score by 4 lengths when resuming last time out over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to take this out. MAWJOOD (1) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.9 lengths adrift in third over 6¼f at Canterbury when resuming after a lay-off. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and should be hard to stop. MERGEILA (2) was in a different class last time, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for a 3 length win at Canterbury over 6¼f. Solid winning hope. CLOISTERS (9) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a nose over 6¼f at Newcastle. Will be better for that latest run and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
