TARPAULIN (5) resuming from a nine months break after finishing eighth in the LR Mercedes Benz (Gothic Stakes) at Caulfield and resumes here a gelding. Fitter for a trial win at Canterbury. Rates a top chance here. DEPRIVATION (2) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 2.5 lengths away in seventh over 5½f at Canterbury after being in contention on the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. STORM THE RAMPARTS (1) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at Randwick over 5f, beaten a nose. Cherry-ripe now. Josh Parr has won when aboard in the past and gets the ride again. Certainly one to consider. ZARAGOZA (9) finished second last time over 5f at Kembla Grange, beaten 1.5 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race.
