NAVAL COMMISSION (3) was sent out at long odds when resuming last time but ran above expectations to finish second, beaten only a nose, over 7f at Warwick Farm. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will play a major role. MODESTY (9) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 3 lengths. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. CEERSEVEN (2) finished third last time over 1m at Moonee Valley, beaten 2 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to fill a top-three spot again.
