MATUSALEM (4) has put together a couple of wins at this circuit, the latest on September 14 over 1m4f when he got home by 1.3 lengths. Winning rider Kerrin Mcevoy retains the mount. Taking on a better field but he is capable of running another bold race. STRATHTAY (2) finished third last time out as favourite over 1m4f at Randwick, beaten 6 lengths. Best form puts him right in this. Group 2 winner CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 6 lengths, over 1m4f in the LR City Tatt's Club Cup at Randwick. Has further improvement to come and can turn things around. FIRST LIGHT (5) settled well back but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 1m4f here last time. Solid top-three hope.
