DECADENT TALE (14) gave away a considerable start over 1m1/2f at Scone last time before hitting the line well to finish fifth. Will drift back but is sure to prove tough to beat. ALBANIAN I AM (16) started at 4/1 last time on the back of a win at Caulfield two starts ago but was below his best, finishing ninth over 1m2f at Caulfield. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. NAVAL COMMISSION (17) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by 0.9 lengths over 1m1f at Randwick Kensington as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three runs. Among the leading players again. SMOOTH ESPRIT (19) settled well back and never threatened when seventh over 7f at Scone last time out. Nicely placed to make amends.
