MANHATTAN THUNDER (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 5f at Cranbourne, beaten 2. 75 lengths into seventh. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. TORVECCHIO (3) was below her best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 6 lengths over 6f at Goondiwindi. Reece O'connell gets the best out of this five-year-old mare. Meeting a deeper field this time but she deserves another chance. LUNESSA (2) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 4½f at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within her grasp.
