BUSY FINGERS (6) was doing his best work late last start to get up for third over 5f at Carnarvon. Sure to be putting in the big strides late again. FAMEUX (3) ran well below his best last time over 6½f at Port Hedland, beaten 15 lengths into ninth at 4/1. Good record at this journey with three wins and five minor placings from 12 starts and should be hard to stop. CATALPA (2) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 6½f at Port Hedland after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better. MARS MISSION (7) wound up strongly last time out to finish a neck adrift in second over 5f at Carnarvon. Will drift back but wind up late. Must be respected.
