YUBETIDO (6) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when third at Mackay over 6f, beaten a head. Should be at his peak now. Record at this journey is impressive with four wins and three placings from nine runs and is a leading contender. NATIVE BEE (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7¾f at Mackay, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth. The engagement of Olivia Kendal is a positive move. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to take this out. MAURICE'S MEDAD (3) is on a quick turnaround after a moderate seventh over 6½f at Toowoomba six days ago. No surprise to see him back in form this time. LEGEND OF ZORRO (1) finished 5.5 lengths back in fourth over 6f at Roma last time out after a gutsy win the start prior. Has a high cruising speed. Must be respected.
