ROY'S ROAD (5) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m1f at Mackay, beaten only 0.9 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. LUCKY EXCHANGE (2) was well supported last time over 1m1 1/2f at Gold Coast Poly but could only manage second when he did his best work late. Will prove tough to beat. PHOENIX FLYER (3) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 0.9 lengths over 1m1f at Mackay as favourite. That continued the solid form this campaign, with two wins from six outings. Can feature again. CLASS OF ROYALTY (1) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m at this track, beaten just 1.5 lengths. Well placed and can figure in the finish again.
