COOL JAKEY (6) had been in sound form but last start he was safely held when 17th over 7f in the LR Magic Millions Cup at Gold Coast. Today's rider Chad Schofield has a decent record aboard this six-year-old gelding so a better run is on the cards. SANDPAPER (1) bounced straight into a handy position from the inside draw before finishing sixth last time out over 7f at Eagle Farm. Sure to be prominent from the outset. WHINCHAT (5) saluted last start at Wyong over 6¾f after he was prominent at the bend. Has a strong record at this trip, scoring three times from six starts. Steps up sharply in class but should be competitive. THUNDERLIPS (10) finished fourth last start over 6¾f at Wyong after racing on the pace for much of the way. Cannot be underestimated.
