ROTAGILLA (3) resumed two-and-a-half weeks ago over 7f at Warwick Farm and was only beaten 0. 7 lengths into fourth. Stepping up a level this time but with added fitness he is one of the key runners. STRAWBERRY IMPACT (4) hasn't been far away lately, last time finishing fourth over 7f at Rosehill, and gets some weight relief. Backmarker who keeps coming. One of the leading chances. PLACID PEARL (8) drifted back when resuming last time out before boxing on well to finish fifth over 6½f at Randwick Kensington. Second up record is strong so she is certainly one to consider. CHICAMA (5) got off the mark over 7f at Warwick Farm last start, scoring by a neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
