Has never been out of the money in three starts at this trip, including two wins. Should be poised just off the lead. Leading contender. BALKANS (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 6f at Warwick Farm after being in contention on the turn. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. MOGUL MONARCH (3) knuckled down strongly to get within a long neck of the winner in second last start over 5½f at Rosehill. Sound record at this distance with three wins and three minor placings from seven runs and has to be respected. WHO BUT ROO (12) finished third at Moruya two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 5½f at Rosehill, finishing 4 lengths back in seventh. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
