ALTHOFF (1) last appeared when sixth over 5¾f at this track six-and-a-half months ago at the only appearance of that campaign. Backmarker who keeps coming. Best form puts him right in this. BELIEVE IN ANGELS (7) battled away fairly last time when fourth over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Suited at the longer journey now and rates among the main chances. THE REPLICANT (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
