Back a level after tackling a tougher race last time. Major player. PALMETTO (5) lifted strongly to score in a then was prominent in the run last time before finishing fifth over 1m2f in the G2 Neville Sellwood Stakes at Rosehill. Should be poised just off the lead. Best figures should see him run well. SCARLET OAK (12) is a talented mare who was well held last time out in the tougher Emancipation Stakes won by Lekvarte over 7½f at Rosehill, beaten 6 lengths into tenth. Big chance in this class. NEW ENDEAVOUR (6) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when second, beaten 1.2 lengths, in the G3 Doncaster Prelude at Rosehill over 7½f. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Not to be discounted.
