TEXAS FIREBALL (1) turned in an eye-catching run over 6¾f at Ipswich last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish second. Among the top chances. MAGIC PHAROAH (9) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner as favourite last start over 1m at Dubbo. Must raise the bar but she has the talent to test this line-up. PRINCESS MARY (7) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, over 5½f at Mudgee. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. MORITZ GIRL (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Kembla Grange, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Well placed to turn things around.
