DR EVIL (2) improved last time out, finishing 1.4 lengths from the winner in third when he did his best work late at the end of 7¾f at Canterbury. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. TYMPANIST (17) gets a change of rider and has been freshened up since finishing seventh over 1m at this track last start. Forgive that latest effort. In the mix. OUR MARYANNE (4) got well back over 1m2 3/4f in the LR Tattersall's Gold Crown at Eagle Farm last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 5 lengths away in ninth. Has the talent to take care of this field. MAGNATEAR (8) drew wide last time and was safely held when 11th over this track and trip. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Don't underestimate.
