Group 3 placegetter LOCO (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury, beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. PERFECT PLAY (5) is racing well without being able to break through, the latest effort a third over 1m2f at Rosehill three weeks ago. Yet to break through at this trip but has registered five minor placings so he is expected to be in the finish. STRATHTAY (7) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished fifth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Rosehill then improved and scored over 1m2f at Rosehill three weeks ago, getting home by 3.5 lengths. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. MONARCHS BRAE (11) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last time over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury, beaten a neck. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
