ELSKA (6) did little and finished 3. 5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 4½f at Newcastle last start after being in the firing line on the corner, a less impressive effort than her fifth on debut at Newcastle the run before. Has the class to take care of this field. HABIB ALBI (2) resumes from a lay-off of four months and is having his first outing under new trainer Aiden St Vincent. Finished sixth at Hawkesbury over 5f at the opening run last time in work. Ran sixth in a trial at Port Macquarie over 5f recently. Expecting a bright start for the new trainer. SMASHING NOVA (4) has not appeared since he finished seventh over 6f at Tamworth on February 13. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. NIKODY'S CASPER (10) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 5. 5 lengths away in fifth over 6¼f at Taree. Sure to be winding up late.
