PEAR BELLINI (7) finished third when resuming at Taree then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fifth at Taree over 6¼f when beaten 2 lengths. Has the addition of blinkers. Hard to beat on her best form and can get off the mark here. ARGERICH (4) failed to figure again last time over 7f at Taree, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will prove hard to hold out. DUNSTALL THE GUN (1) finished third last start over 7f at Tamworth when he made late ground, beaten 5 lengths. Nicely placed to go a couple better. PATHELIA (6) returned from a lay-off five weeks ago when she was beaten 9 lengths into fifth over 6½f at Armidale. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
