KAHRABA (12) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1m at Taree. Will derive great benefit from recent racing. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. SMOKEY SAINT (15) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1. 75 lengths over 7f at Taree when he made late ground. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. ARTIE LADY (14) was comfortably accounted for when eighth last time out over 7f21yards at Lismore, beaten 6 lengths. That followed a win at Lismore at the previous outing. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. CALEDONIAN (8) won at Coffs Harbour two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing 11th over 1m at Coffs Harbour. Well placed to make amends.
