BROKEN WINGS (6) is poised to win after placing at her last four outings, most recently when second after she was well back on straightening over 5f at Walcha. Has the talent to build on that encouraging effort last start. CASEBOLT (7) is back after a break of five months. At the last run before the layoff she finished sixth over 6¼f at Kempsey. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Grafton over 5½f. Has ability and is a solid chance. ALBY'S MATE (4) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when second, beaten 1.4 lengths, at Dubbo over 6f. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will give backers a great sight. KID BILLY (1) missed the frame last time out when seventh over 7f at Grafton. Still a maiden but has been in the money on three occasions. Has a solid record at this journey, finishing in the money on two occasions. Expected to run well.
