BANGALOW ROAD (8) was comfortably accounted for when third last time out over 6f147yards at Geelong, beaten 3. 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. That followed a win at Kilmore at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. ERMINIA (9) resumed four weeks ago over 5½f at St Arnaud and was only beaten 1. 75 lengths into fourth. The engagement of Linda Meech is noteworthy. Strips fitter and can figure in the finish. PORT LOUIS (7) did little and finished 4. 5 lengths from the winner in ninth over 5½f at Geelong last start, a less impressive effort than his when resuming fifth at Mortlake the run before. Faces an easier assignment so he is sure to be prominent. WILD WILLY (6) is a eight-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Jamie Opperman yard. Hasn't raced since finishing 11th at Murray Bridge four months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks nicely placed. Not to be underestimated.
