SKIPPERS CANYON (16) gave away a considerable start over 1m1f at Caulfield last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Outdashed but got home well and the extra ground looks a big plus. Well placed and hard to hold off. BLACK RUN (11) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by a nose over 1m4f at Caulfield last start. Tougher assignment this time but he is right in this. ZIRYAB (15) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1m4f at Caulfield. Expected to be in the finish. ALENQUER (2) ran a better race last start, finishing 3. 5 lengths away in fourth over 1m4f at Caulfield. Capable of featuring prominently.
