UNCONQUERABLE (8) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing second over 6½f at Newcastle. Looks a solid top-three prospect. CHEWING GUM (2) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Hoping for a repeat of her debut win over 5f152yards at Geelong to kick off last prep. Ran fourth in a trial at Flemington over 4f recently. Key runner. FLYING MEAN (6) came from well back on cornering and hit the line strongly to score over 6f at this track last time out. Best form puts him right in this. HOWDY (7) drew wide and ran poorly last start when beaten 5.5 lengths into 11th at this course and distance. Fared better at the stall draw this time. Reunites with Ben Allen who has been in the money three times when aboard. Not to be discounted.
