VINARI (8) ran below expectations last time after being in the firing line on the bend at Moruya, finishing ninth and beaten 8 lengths starting at 7/2. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. MISSILE DEFENCE (4) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 7f at Parkes after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. ARGYLE LAIRD (7) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6f at Parkes, scoring by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders. TWIN GIFT (11) was responsible for a better run last start, beaten 2. 75 lengths into fourth over 6f at Dubbo. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
